Derma Roller Before and After Results

If you are new to derma rolling, dermaroller before and after results are very encouraging and important to help you get back your youthful glow.

In today’s beauty trend, Derma Rolling or what is commonly called as Micro needling is helping a lot of individuals in solving their skin problems. This beauty tool is a hand-held device called the derma roller with tiny hundreds or thousands of micro needles that you roll onto your face or body parts that you want to treat.

As you roll it on the skin’s surface, these microneedles create small tears that aids in the induction of collagen and elastin. When collagen is produced, new tissues are formed, thus, making your skin better and smoother. There are numerous benefits you can get from this treatment. Derma rolling before and after results are truly remarkable as long as you follow the guidelines and commit to your schedule.

Things to Know Before Derma Rolling

Here are a few steps to do in prepping up your skin:

  • Cleanse your face thoroughly.  It is not recommended to use exfoliating cleansers or scrubs before you do the treatment. Just use a mild soap or gentle facial cleansers that will remove the dirt and grime on your face. Pat dry after washing. Do not apply toners or creams. Just a cleansed face is all you need.
  • Take a quick bath for body derma rolling. If you will treat other areas of your body like your tummy, thighs or arms, just take a quick shower and use ph-balanced soaps or cleansers.
  • (Optional) Numbing Cream. Do you have a low pain-tolerance? You can use a numbing cream to aid in reducing the slight pain during microneedling. After applying the numbing cream, wait for 30 minutes to allow the desensitization of skin to take place before completely removing it by wiping off using a soft facial tissue before derma rolling.

How to Prepare Your Dermaroller

  • Get the derma roller that is suitable for your skin problem. If you are using Rejuviss 5-in-1 Derma Roller Set, select your desired roller head and attach to the handle. Twist it and ensure that the roller head is securely fastened.
  • Disinfect the roller head before use. Use the disinfection container that comes with your Rejuviss 5-in-1 Derma Roller Set and fill it with disinfectant alcohol (99% isopropyl is better than 70%). Soak the roller head for about 5 minutes to remove any germs or bacteria.

Important Reminder: It is advisable to replace the roller heads after 3-4 uses to prevent bacteria from building up on the needles and roller heads. Using the roller heads for several times makes your skin susceptible to infections and acne build-up.

Now that you know what roller head to use for each skin area, it’s time to take note of the correct technique for derma-rolling. The 4 Directions Derma Rolling Technique is just simple and easy to follow:

  1. Divide the area to derma roll into small sections about a quarter of your palm size. Always derma roll small section by section so that you can completely derma roll one section before moving on to the next.
  2. Start rolling in one section in the Up and Down direction 4 times, then Left and Right 4 times, then Diagonally top right to left 4 times and finally, Diagonally top left to right 4 times. Refer to the diagram below for more information.
  3. After derma rolling one section, you can move on to another section and complete the same steps until all sections of your skin are done.
  4. Tip: Do not apply too much pressure when derma rolling. Apply the right amount of pressure to avoid irritation and finish the entire section of your face. Do not roll more than indicated times.

Things to Know After Treatment

For first time users:

  • You may experience redness on your skin which will disappear depending on skin type and sensitivity. Usually, a minor redness will disappear within 1 or 2 days. If the redness do not subside and becomes redder after 2 days, please contact your dermatologist.
  • Your skin may be more sensitive to sunlight after derma rolling. Make sure to apply sunscreen protection if you plan to be out in the sun 1 – 2 days after derma rolling. If you see some peeling, put moisturizers but never pick them or hasten the peeling.
  • When you apply your creams and serums, avoid products with exfoliators first. You can use products that can hydrate, moisturize, and increase collagen production. When your skin comes back to normal (without redness), you can go back to your usual skin care regimen.

Derma Roller – Before/ After Results

The difference on your skin when derma rolling before and after can be seen in as early as 2 sessions. However, the results may vary depending on the skin type. Some people experience a noticeable difference at their 4 – 6 sessions. The following skin problems can be treated by the dermaroller with notable results:

Acne – If you are a person who is acne-prone, you will benefit tremendously from derma rolling because not only will it heal and remove your existing scars, it will also prevent more breakouts in the future! This is because derma rolling causes your skin to become more elastic with the increased production of collagen so every time you roll, the frequency of getting acne is also being reduced or totally eliminated in time.

However, do note that it is not recommended to use the dermaroller if you have active acne. You have to treat and wait for the lesions to heal completely before you perform derma rolling on them.

Wrinkles and Fine Lines- As we age, our collagen production depletes and without proper care, the signs of aging can visibly show up on our face. With regular derma-rolling, fine lines will slowly fade away and wrinkles will gradually become less obvious because of the formation of new collagen.

The key rule is- START SLOWLY. Do not rush on rolling by pushing it hard on your skin nor do it every night just because you think it does its work faster that way. Just like when you are using your skincare regimen, it does not work overnight. However, the good news is, since derma rolling enhances the efficacy and absorption of your beauty products, this combo treatment will give you a more dramatic effect in time. You will notice that your skin becomes suppler, radiant, and looks younger. The increased production of collagen to your skin will make your skin tone and texture more refined. No wonder this treatment is in-demand!

Scars and Skin Pigmentation – Some scars can almost ruin every confidence you have on yourself. (Do you agree?) Some deep scars from acne on your face can lower your self-esteem.

The narrow, pitted scars or what is commonly called as ice pick scars can be so frustrating. Laser treatments are done to eliminate these scars. However, if you are one of those who cannot spare the price of expensive laser treatments or simply don’t have time to commit to your much desired appointment, then derma rolling is the best option for you.

Stubborn pimples can cause dark spots and uneven skin tone. Too much sun exposure and pollution can damage your skin tone and appearance. Derma rolling before and after results are undeniably obvious because the more that you religiously follow the treatment, the better results you’ll experience from this simple beauty therapy. The reason why scar ointments and skin pigmentation skin products do not work as fast as promised is because not all of the ingredients can penetrate deeply into the skin; so either the creams just get wiped off when you lie down on your pillow or it will not reach the deep layers when you apply them. When using the dermaroller, the absorption of these creams and ointments are enhanced and it makes it more potent.

Loose and Sagging Skin– As we age gracefully, we may feel that the skin at certain parts of our body becomes loose and saggy. For people who went on a serious body weight loosing program, they might also want experience excess skin that remained from a drastic lost of weight. With derma rolling, you can get the effect like that of having a facial lift surgery after a few weeks of treatment as new collagen is produced to improve the integrity of your skin structure and enable a more supple skin structure. Your loose and sagging skin will slowly improve with constant and on-going treatment.

Stretch Marks and Cellulites– Until now, no creams or ointments can clearly dissolve the stretch marks that women acquired form their precious pregnancy. Practical moms won’t even spend more than their beauty and wellness budget since stretch marks can be hidden under clothing. Nevertheless, a mom is still a woman who desires to have her good tummy skin back. Derma Rolling helps address this problem. Rejuviss’s 5-in-1 Derma Roller Set comes with a big derma roller head that is designed to dermaroll large surface area of skin.

Cellulite are also very unpleasant and by continuous use of derma rolling, you will notice a reduction of cellulite especially on your arms and thighs.

As long as you are consistent in derma rolling and patient, you will be able to see visible results. It is also important to take care of your derma rollers. NEVER ever share them with anyone to avoid infections. You must also remember that the needles will wear out after multiple uses, so for best derma roller before and after results, you have to replace your derma rollers every now and then.
